First of all, let’s find out their common ground or similarities. From the first invention of the computer, it is meant to process data into information and the same thing goes for laptop. In order for the computer to process the data, of course the user has to insert the commands or instructions and here comes the second similarities, both laptop and computer have input and output devices. Input and output devices are so crucial, the analogy is as if two persons are talking, without input devices, person A cannot deliver his message while person B cannot reply to person A if there are no output devices. The “man” of the show is the ability to connect to the Internet, and both laptop and computer can connect to the Internet, up to the latest WiFi. 

Next, it’s time to differentiate both of these computers. The most significant difference is the size, doesn’t matter how wide is the screen of the laptop, whether it is a gaming laptop or the typical ones, still the computer dominate it as computer has its own processing unit which is larger than typical laptop by quadruple. Furthermore, the computer is much heavier than the laptop even if you put only the monitor and the laptop on the scale. Besides, their capacity, from the size of the memory to the processing of data, the computer will always outcome laptop, but of course there are certain laptops that have the same par of memory with the computer such as 1 TB or Terabyte, bare in the mind, everything comes with a price.

In a nutshell, both laptop and computer are great inventions, after all, it’s suitability will depend on the usage, pick laptop for better mobility, not forgetting computer for supreme performance.
